What bird is this?

We saw this bird on our trip to Bray Harbour.

  1. Hi Bray,
This bird is a Turnstone and as its name says, it turns over stones and seaweed and such looking for sandhoppers and small creatures to eat. The Turnstone visits Ireland, mostly in Winter, and returns to the Arctic for the Summer to breed. Best wishes with your birdwatching, you have a great area for the hobby.
